I found the Ninco 1 cars too stuck down for my Ninco track (not enough room between the pinion gear and the magnet to shim it further away from the rails)
so I did some experiments today. The stock Ninco 1 traction magnet has about 130 grams of down-force when installed in the Ninco 1 Corvette.
Using a toaster oven, I set it to 200 degrees for 30 minutes. Now the magnet reads 30 grams of down-force.
Using another traction magnet, I then set the toaster oven to 150 degrees for 4 minutes and the magnet now reads 108 grams of down-force.
If you decide you want to give it a try, I would do all your magnets for a particular class of cars at the same time (unless you want to have different
magnetic down-force options) so all of your cars would still be matched but with less down-force.
Please note, the change is permanent so it would be best to do a little bit at a time.
Best regards,
Brian
