I
can let you know that Bob, Shawn and I told Harry he had to post it at the top and not say a word. I wish I could have been there when you noticed it on the

Kurt - any truth to the rumors that that is a slice of SPAM between the front and rear sections? Kinda has that texture....

THAT'S IT! That's what it is. Its Spam and eggs and Spam with toast and Spam. There's only a little Spam in it...

Maybe we should give the SPAM award every year for the ugliest POS. It has to rival Kurt's creation to be considered.

Guys, I can't tell you how pleased I am to have set a new standard, one by which all future ugly POS's will be judged.
This is a great day for America.

Nope. It's a great day for SPAM. Now that we've identified the possible connection, I think we should get them involved for next year's event.

Hmmm, honoring a POS? Well heck...SCX did that for us last year! Kurt, your model fits well with the current level of quality here at HRW
I'm thinkin' Ebay...you could retire? Have Dan or Bruce (somebody important) sign the bottom? Actually, Tom and I got a kick out of it. "They Didn't Say You Couldn't" - Smokey Yunick

why don't you sign it Harry Kurt could donate it since he's so pleased with the artistry involved with it's creation and auction it off for
proceeds to the board and winning bidder must agree to never enter it in a futuer LSR I'll open at $25.00 but only if it's signed!

Wait a minute here...I think we should preserve this for all-time.
I'll CAST it in resin for free, we'll sell them as the IROC-type body for next year's event. All proceeds will go to the American Heart Association for survivors of SPAM blocked arteries. Think of the PRESS this could garner for the event! |

You guys are killing me!! I can't stop laughing....
917 body/chassis - $50 Poorly machined MB Slot wheels - $30 Machine work for crown and pinion gears - $1000 Paint and putty - $5 Spam slice - .39 cents Having the b***s to perform a last minute hack job utilizing a perfectly good slice of spam that nobody else in the entire scratch building world would ever dream of using - PRICELESS!!

Gee, I was thinking we could have it cast in bronze, but resin's okay. Its already been cast in Spam. Der Spamenator, das Slipperytreamlinerbraten auf

By the way, just so there's no misunderstanding, but Spam is about the least likely meat to clog your arteries. Its one of the best things the Army ever produced, believe it or not. Just sayin'.

I have the perfect trophy -- I picked up a brass spittoon -- we could engrave the winner's (wiener's) name on the outside and display it at Cincy Slots
until the next event. Sort of like the Borg-Warner trophy.

In the words of my favorite beer commercials: BRILLIANT! All of the above ideas should be incorporated.
Now, where to get the MB Slot wheels that were so brutally reviewed? Oh, I'll get Tim to make some SPAM decals and I'll make 1/32 scale, resin SPAM tins. Put it where the motor detail used to be and you'll know what is really powering it. Rob - actually you are correct...however, the salt content almost made me stroke with my high BP. Dan - I LOVE the trophy idea. We could call it the SPAM-Warner. Kinda rolls off my tongue. After an adult beverage, of course... Oh, and of course the RMS Resins site will proudly state: "Cast by RMS, but lovingly handcrafted by Kurt Moser" Kurt, you know - I love you like a brother I've never met.

Aw, David- you guys in the upper atmosphere just don't sweat it out like we do in the South. Today was 101 with 70% humidity. I needed salt pills to get
through the day.
Dan- you don't have a brass urinal, do ya? Maybe a bedpan? Of course, it would be hard to find someone to engrave one of those, eh? I was just thinking of the nerfing possibilities of a car that long. I should have one for when Jenny is here. Maybe some serious weight in the rear... I could get her from two lanes away!
