Purchased two of the RTR H&R Chassis. Also picked up the Pro-Track wheels and siliconeTires for the Rear to replace the standard sponge tires that come on
the car. These rear wheels & tires are listed as Pro-Track 1/24 silicone Rears, 18 X 27mm x 18mm Part #424. Can someone recomed after market wheels &
rubber or silicone tires to replace the front sponge tires that come standard on thr RTR H&R Chassis? What are the measurements of the FRONT wheels and
sponge tires that come as "Standard" on the H&R, RTR Chassis?
I'm going to mount a couple of the Winner's Circle 1/24 NASCAR COT Diecast (Or in this situation..."Plasti-cast"? ) bodies like you can buy at Wal-Mart on these H&R Chassis. I am also going to build & mount a couple of the old (later '60's or early '70's) Revell 1/24 NASCAR Classic model kits I have and adapt them to the H&R Chassis. I BELIEVE these older car modle kits were made with "styrene" plastic. Not sure about that but a local guy who runs some RC cars told me I better NOT use Cyano glue on these older models during the build procress because the cyno glue we have today will damage the styrene (ort what ever kind of plastic) that was used to manufacture these modle car kits from "Back In TH DAY". Can anyone verify for me that this is correct? If I can't use Cyano glue what do I need to use to assemble these older modle cars withthat won't damage the body parts?
Got another classic Strombecker Pontiac a friend built for me. Only problem is that the roof of the car was never glued into place. The roof / glass windo combination is in great condition and still have the little pegs surrounnding the four corners of the roof / window part that was never "glued" into the small holes around the 4 corners around the top edge of the car body that they will slid into. The roof & plastic clear windows are all in one piece but I was told I needed to use a specific glue (again, Cyano NOT suggested) to glue the pegs of the roof piece onto the car. Was told that todays Cyano glue will ruin the clear plastic windows. If all this is pretty correct what specific glue would you guy's reccomend using on the older back in the day, plastic car models?
OK, I've rambled enough. All help and input appreciated.
