With a little trimming the tires turn freely and it sits just about perfect

Here is the Ford and Datsun side by side
To make the interior pod work I added a piece of flat styrene at the back of the interior
that allows for a mounting surface to the RMS body and it spaced the interior in the right place in the body. Using the interior allows me to mount the
interior to the body and the chassis will mount to the interior as Scally did on the Escort. The drivers butt had to be trimmed. This guy was to tall for the
Datsun. So I shortened him..I guess you could say ......ok, you get the idea...

Here is the modifide chassis. I cut the rear just infront of the Ford rear screw mounts
and cut the front valance and trimmed the chassis around the guide. The two screws that held the chassis to the interior are still used. I may add a couple
more styrene mounts just to be safe.

Gonna hit the road for a few weeks and when I get back I'll do the paint. Still not sure
about the livery.
Here is the finished car. Decided to replicate my real 510 I autocrossed in the 1980's
Ok, I finally focused and got the 510 to an acceptable level for me. After a long look at the car and possible liveries,
I just decided to duplicate (sorta) my personal 510. I autocrossed it (84-90) and it was all Japanese spec SSS with a twin SU carbed 1600. I kept it left hand drive and added a 5 spd and full Mulhulland
suspension with 14 inch wheels. Slotted rear x-member.Front and rear sway bars. All the trim was Japan spec as well. So it was called a Bluebird SSS. Tripple S
was the factory performance stuff back then.

Above you can see a short piece of flat styrene I added and spaced to the back of the chasis to mount it to the RMS body. I also used some round dowel in the front to use the chasis own front mount.
After long thought about the livery, I just figured everyone would do a race car, so mines kinda my street car.

This wasn't intended as a post hijack, sorry.
