These showed up across the pond today. Far behind?

Yeah I saw that, have to wait for it to reach US, at the current exchange rate price from UK is $55.00. But this one is on my 1/32 list for the year.

Agreed. Based on what the U.S. MSRP will likely be, this one can probably be had for $42, or even a little less, if you shop around.

I am sure it is a cool outfit...but with the already converted Flys I have plus the latest Monogram...cannot say it is at the top of the list.
Cool car though..just a little late for me. Thanks for the news though John! Appreciate that. "They Didn't Say You Couldn't" - Smokey Yunick

Never got the Flys because they were front motored (I think they had the stub front axles too. Yuck!) and from what I heard terrible runners. Also the Flys
were over scale (~1/30). Scalextric produces solid cars so, yeah, I'm getting everyone they offer. 250 GTOs are the most beautiful cars evah!!!

Scalextric's Ferrari 250-GTO is purported to be a front motored model as well. I suspect that this configuration is the only way they could fit a full interior in this model and still use a 1/32 scale motor to power it. I think this model will run about as well as the L-88 Corvettes and the Viper GTS's also front motored by Scaley. these two are good runners though not great. It dosen't really matter to me if this model is a great racer or not because I am a committed Ferrari fanatic. A couple of these beauties will be coming to join my fleet soon after they are available in the USA. Thanks for the photo John. Live Long & Prosper, David. |

Yeah, the funny thing is unlike a lot of others who have multiple Ferrari 250s (especially the Flys), I've only got one. And that's the recently
released Mono-Rev vintage kit. I'll probably pick this one up. Great looking car.

Arriving April 17th according to one of the "usual suspects."

Thanks for the info johnstoys, this one is on my list as well. I had one of the Fly 250s but traded it away. Fly makes great looking models but the higher
prices stop me from doing any running mods. Alan

Front motor with the usual spring coupler. The Scalextric UK site has the exploded parts diagram.

I want one just to see. In the past I haven't enjoyed many of the front loaded car though.
