Jeff,
If they give out free samples at your day job (even scratch-and-dents), I think you may come up with some prizes that will increase mightily participation in the next STC! Nerf |

Nerfbarz wrote: Hey Nerf. When I read this I went out to the building to try one. it took about 5 mins to complete a basic axle install. I wanted to use tubing for a axle
sheath but didn't have any. I also want to fix it to there I can use the orginal wheels. But for this run i used a the front wheels and axle form another
car. The only advantage it had was to stabilize the front wheels. It only added 1/10 an ounce to the weight. While I was at though I worked on another projuct
for this car. I personally don't like the pick up system. In my opinion the braid is to thick and the car don't weigh enough to hold the front wheels
down. so i replace the standard braid with 2.5 mm no-clean wick that I picked up at a local electronics store. Its 5 ft of braid for $2.95. Its thinner and
allows the front wheels to set on the track. My next move was to solder wires directly to the rear portion of the braid. I drilled a hole under the front cowl
for the wires to feed through and attached them to the motor. Sanded down the rear wheels and tires and let'r rip. I ran it on both 1/32 and 1/43 and it
run great. Below is a picture of the end result. I have to replace on front tire because the soldering iron got too close
