I presume you mean HO slot cars. There just is not a lot of room in an HO car, so there will only be enough space for a single lamp. There have been a few cars available with working lights. Radio Shack has 12 volt grain-of-wheat lamps that you can squeeze in, the problem is getting the light to point where you want it to. The cars with lights had a little thing made of clear plastic that directed the light out of the front of the car through holes where the headlights would be. It would be nice to use LEDs, you would have to hunt around for small ones and use a dropping resistor to keep them from burning out.
