The answer is the "bee hive" shape of the coils. Seat of the pants engineering, Steve, a talent dying off with the geezers like me who have made something out of absolutely nothing all our lives. I am an engineer. No college, not tech school, no courses. Problem solving is in my genes. And I am very astute. I realized immediately the pecker head of the flag pilaster seemed to match the contour of the inside top of the "bee hive". More or less ball and socket down and dirty quick and cheap. Is that a sentence..........I was afraid the tang end of the coil, which points in, would snag the slot in the pilaster. As I mentioned, the shape is so perfect for this application, the "ride height" of the swivel motion occurs at the perimeter of the pecker head instead of the top where the slot is. Do you see what I mean? I am lucky 50% and good 50%.

When I received your chassis, I began assembling it immediately. I was in high cotton. I became very nostalgic and played some oldies midi files as background.
