I had to tweak my design a bit and play with some of the elevations due to line of sight issues after I got it up in the air. It looked fine when it was on the floor. " src="http://www.ezboard.com/images/emoticons/ohwell.gif"> I have 1 more small piece to fit in and rout, then should just about be ready to start slapping on some paint. I am going with interior/exterior acrylic latex applied with the small foam roller per Hot Shoe's advice. Any thoughts or comments on grip with this type of finish would be welcome. I kind of borrowed the support idea from the folks from Dillon Speedway. It is a variation on their's. If you look hard enough on this forum, you will find them. I had thought over several ways of supporting my track and when I saw how they did it, that just clicked with me. The original Carerra track planner I used to lay this out listed the track length around 86'. Not sure what it is now after my "tweaking". I will measure it at some point in time however. Jim

Posts: 138 (01/28/08 03:09 PM) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts	Not a big track,the table is 16x7, it is my first routed track, me and a good friend put this together in about a week and a half. I plan on building a new one this spring when the weather breaks. The next track will be the full length of the shop, about 24x8. Not sure if we we are gonna build another oval or a road course, I really like the oval, the racing is really close, last fri. we raced and the cars were about 2 feet apart at the end of the race. The next will be either a Darlington or a real nice road course. Another racer is getting ready to build a very nice road course about 80 feet in length, so i just might stick with the oval, then we have the best of both worlds. He lives in Findlay which is obout 25 min. away. We race every other fri. night. We built the wood track and will never go back to plastic, just muck better racing.......
