Now the question comes to mind if everyone wants bodies as close to scale as possible!? There is a difference in some of the die cast bodies available! A lot of the cars that are closer to, or right on, scale are not easy conversions! I know what I would like, but I ain't the customer!

What I've found is the Artin chassis is a little short for actual 1/43. I checked the wheelbase and track dimensions of the 1:1 '68 Stang and the '57 Chevy - both are longer than an Artin chassis will easily adjust.

However after experiencing SCX and Carrara Go! the Artins seem like they are a little smaller that actual 1:43 that you see in a die cast. Anyway in short, I would much rather have True 1:43 scale, butcher Artin chassis to make them fit, or simply convert SCX, GO! or use a RD adjustable chassis. Barfly Racing

Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts	the artin chassis maybe short, BUT most of the cars like a ´68 ´stang are narrow and you we not be able to fit another brand easy under a narrow body. Steve, i like this GT40, i don´t care too much ´bout scale as long as i can fit the wheels inside the wheel wells, even if a little dremeling is needed.

I have GT 40's, but a resin would be good to dremel out a little and disguise as the current GT! Lots of those showing up on the race circuit, now that someone bought the rights from Ford. Chassis length is a easy thing to modify. Width is a little harder but can be done if you really want the car.

Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts	width becomes a heavy issue if you want to go narrower than narrow FRONT artin tires on an artin chassis ... i got a 1/43rd AMT ´69 Stang where the narrow fronts just fit. the GT40 i got is a little wider in the front, so no problem there.

Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts	I've got a lot of die casts on my track table that were listed as 1/43 (exception being the G Machines) and there is a large range of sizes. I think it stems to the point "you get what you pay for". Take that Zephyr for instance. It was listed as 1/43 but is closer to 1/32!
