On the large scale shelf, picked up a 57 Chevy, 63 Impala, 64 GTO, and a 66 Chevelle Wagon, as well as a 67 Jeep Scout . Most were for $5 per from Big Lots.

No, I won't leave 1/43. Don't have the budget for the larger scales, don't have the room for a large scale track, and we have no commercial tracks
in this area.
I do have a large carton of 1960s Revell 1/32 track (with some Riggen R-2s) for test bed purposes. I just enjoy building realistic stocker bodies and the bigger cars will give the old eyes a respite. But I have a large cache of 1/43 40 Ford coupes and a bunch of other projects for my oval and the planned figure-8s. I will definitely build a 1/25 Gober Sosebee slot car, but the other big uns will become either static models or swap material. |

I understand the lack of room! I have quite a few 1/43 cars and plenty of Carrera Go track. Just haven't set it up for a while.
Incidentally, the 49 Ford in my avitar is one I bought from you a couple of years ago. I think it turned out nice and it runs well. It sits on a Pro-track chassis. I actually won a crash and burn race with it several months ago. Keep up the good work with the 1/43rds. I always enjoy pictures of your projects. Where can one find the 1/43 40 Ford coupes? Lib did a vac for me a while back. I remember the 49. Is that the one with the lightening holes in the hood?
