Scalextric "Tupperware" and stripping agents |

I got an old school Scalextrix Ferrari P4 that I am itching to convert to a 412 and would like to know if anyone has successfully been able to strip the tampos
with anything like 91% alcohol or Castrol Super clean degreeser. I am aware that this type of "Tupperware" plastic is said to not hold conventional
paint and will be trying the Krylon Fusion paint for plastics.

ALCOHOL should work fine, soak it for a few hours

The Alcohol did just fine, thanks for the reply. Any tips on paint choices for these? I was going to try the Krylon Fusion paint for plastics.
Chet Update: Alcohol took off the tampos no problem, but still left glue residue so the car is sokaing in Castrol. Results will follow,

Sorry, can't comment on the new Krylon paint I have never used it. I used Krylon a few years and and had problems with their spray nozzles, so I quit
using their paints. I stick with lacquers, they dry faster, have a harder finish and better gloss.
Good luck. I have Gulf decals that would look great on that car. Jim |
