Hey Dave, great write-up buddy.
Got a question
you say the tires are wider to the inside. So did this eliminate all shaving to the body that the OEM tires required for clearance? Thinking about testing a few sets for the Vintage class we`re settin up.

I've known about Tiny Motors for several years but had never ordered anything from them but I know people that have and they were very happy with Tiny's products.

I've not tried his kits, but his dragster kits look to be the bomb, and I may need to build one of those!

And, these may soon be coming with BWA wheels on the back too.

The tires, as others have pointed out, are wider to the inside. There is ZERO rubbing on these. I just ran a ton more laps, and the tires seem to "settle in" even better with use.

As for the shipping, I'd ordered 8 sets of them, and got them in no time flat. They were all packaged in very nice little bags and labeled properly.

Tiny has been around several years, if my feeble mind is correct. I've not tried his kits,...

I might as well chime in here, too. I have had wonderful results from Kevin's tires (an unusual urethane composition that doesn't bounce), with a slightly increased sidewall height, and they are surely worth the money. I also have a variety of tracks to run on, including Scaley Sport, painted MDF, and iron filings painted wood, which has a distinct tendency to true tires, then act as traction help (after the tires are trued, they don't seem to wear down very fast at all). I just tested some Maxxtrac tires from Pro Motor. The set made for the Monogram NASCARS are wider, but not in the right direction like Al stated. I do get some rub on the Galaxie.

Thank you, Al - I don't have the gear/track rub problem or insufficient traction with the stock ones, but my textured surface is wearing them down to where the spur will be touching in short time.

The extra width was added to the inside of the tire, so, rubbing is not a problem. Tiny's tires are excellent.

David - Good test - one question: I've been hesitant to get replacements since I was concerned about body rub from the wider tires as the stock tires don't leave much of a margin as is...so I'm guessing that's not a problem...???

As to the "boxes of rocks" - fit a NSR pinion and that takes care of that problem.

Thanks for the lead on the tire and spur gear issue. So far I only have one of these cars [#21 red/white 63] I soon became aware of the magnet pocket draging and fixed that by removing/gringinding some plastic from the bottom of the chassis and gluing the magnet in place. Now to fix the spur gear poblem and this car should run as good as it looks.
