I just got off the phone with the TO and he is cool with it. I told him about SCW and some of the Artin set available. We could go with the 4 laner and build from there. He has an extra room in the back just right for an oval. I hope this works out. He wanted to know if I wanted to cancel this weekends race and go to Popular Bluff. I told im that I had to asked the TM aka the wife but she's needs a week to get ready just to go across town... So that's out of the question this time...

Sound like a cool series. If I did not have a 1/24 race this weekend I could have made it and maybe brought a couple more racers. What would you all think about adding another track to series next time? There is a commercial race track in Carlise ,AR and that would been real easy to get to from SEMO and Memphis. I believe that the TO would get an Artin oval to put up.

I'm jealous that I live too far away to join in. If ya'll decide to put up a race on the West Coast, I'll vollunter to host with my track. My timing system is on the way so it will be up to snuff. I live out in the sticks so there aren't many sloters here bouts but my track is trailerable so it can go to where the racers are. I would take it to the SF Bay area if necessary. Mike A

I don't particularly want to run the Corvette. The last time I had looked at the rules (a couple of days ago) they said the chassis could only be cut to add nerf bars. Just wanted a clarification for everyone who might need to adjust chassis size.

Sounds like this should be a fun time. Look forward to it (if something doesn't come up like it usually does, to interfere with my plans.)

Any vintage body is listed...so yes.

Now why would you wanna make Vette when you have a cool Firebird?

Go ahead and do what you have to to make it fit, it don't say you can't in the rules. Maybe the Vette has better Aero when it leaves the track

But I am going to work on the rules tomorrow. Just make sure everyone knows you HAVE to...

Leave it to me to ask questions!

I have a Monogram Firebird - same size as the Camaro, etc. Will this body be permitted?

As for chassis cutting - can the chassis be lengthened or shortened (as the body might require)? The Firebird is not the body in question. The Monogram Corvette requires a shortened and narrowed chassis (yes, I have a Corvette bomber!) and some of the others might require lengthening.

I'll second that about Colton's Steak House being GRRRREEEAAATTT!!!! My favorite place to eat in Poplar Bluff and you can tell by looking at me that I like to eat.

Ok folks...we are having a simple 2 race series this summer to begin the Artin Oval League. This will be our first season to see how things go and perhaps expand this series Nationwide.
