A Race Report

So how did you spend your Memorial Day Weekend? A few hamburgers or
hot dogs, maybe an adult beverage or two, perhaps your local pool
opened this past weekend or you just worked on the lawn ….

….. Well a few of us "Slot-Heads" spent it in a more traditional
way by driving in a 500 mile Indy race. That's right, we open
wheeled it through some high...

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!! A Picture tells a thousand words..... LOL.. Now that was too funny Bruce.......... What a GREAT time was had by all as you can see.. Great race venue with one of the best host I've ever meant.... Fantastic track to run on with vintage Vintage Indy cars!! More info to come still tired from driving and sitting around glued to the tv with Indy and the 600 on LOL...

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm... Thats an awful lot of Indy Cars Bill, just to beat one car..(LOL) Very nice looking lot of cars though... Young Bruce has a ton of cars too, might I be the one who is wrong and maybe I need to build a few more cars? I'm thinking the answer there is NO, all I need is one fast car!!! LOL, can't wait till friday to see everyone, we may show up slightly late for Jimmy SixOhm has to work in the morn for a little, BUT don't fret WE will be there..... Boy sure hope...

very nice bill,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,i just thought of something that i overlooked,,matt was on the inside lane next to mine,
so as i think back,my car was takeing the corners just as well as his,,as we were raceing full tilt he had a very difficult time
getting by me,,,i was faster on the straights,just a hair yet by the time we came out of the corners we were neck and neck,,,,,,,,

in the mean time,,gotta work some indy chassis,,,,,,,,,,,,,still unpacking,jims clear tire...

Bruce,
I heard that the skinny F1 tires work well also, I have one of the chassis I'm testing for New York set up with them and so far they are working well. They give you some the weight of the standard Indy tire has with the less resistance of a skinny.
I am also posting a few more shots of Glenn's Indy side-car racer, it arrived safely in the mail today and no photos could do this beauty justice .......

my indy car had a few more hoarses than yours.
and as i [clearly] remember,your indy had the better
corner,by the looks of the picture i can[clearly] see the
problem.your front tires are alot wider than mine.

bruce finds a stubster in his indy body collection yet gets edged out by 1 lap by matts stubster at the last big bend race,,
johnny lightnings stubster went south for the summer.

just got off the phone with austin,sent him a pic of your back up car,he was laughing so hard snots were comeing out his nose.
in between blowing his nose he said the front tires need to be 430 min.

Fellow Racers,
With only 9 days until the Doyle hauler heads north to New York the DPR stable has neared completion. I added the the HO-Reproduction "Moon" wheels, installed the drivers and mounted the Acme bodies today .... now it's "Test and Tune" time.
