Well...it helps is you guys will delete your posts once your deals have went through. You can delete your own posts, so when a deal is done...just delete it and that will help a lot in keeping the clutter down and saves us bandwidth.

I agree with Greg, except that I think all completed deals should be removed right away. If the deal falls through, the seller can repost. No need for all the "sold" clutter on the first page.

I think 2 months is generous. No more than one month for completed sales. Anyone who buys something for which they think they may need future reference should keep their own records. For the rest of them, I would start deleting after the second page. I know I never go back more than 1 page, figuring anything that old is no longer valid. If need be, people can repost and get closer to the front anyway.

I say two months. An item that didn't sell or trade, can always be reposted with it's new date.

I think removing the older/completed posts is a good idea, it cleans up the clutter and makes it easier to see what is available for sale. If after 2 months something hasn't sold but is still available, the seller can simply re-post.

My only suggestion would be to leave the "wanted" posts that have not been completed up a little longer. That way if someone is considering selling an item they can see if anyone is interested. Another advantage of this would be when...

After asking and getting some responses...
I will be deleting anything that is 2+ months old
in this forum to help keep down on clutter.

your posts as SOLD / TRADED / GOT IT, ETC.
