The track looks fantastic and I really dig the glow effect. Nice work!!

Harry, thanks for recognizing what I consider a key element in the fundemental design. One thing I realy wanted to create was a track with plenty of opportunity to put out some tail.. I realy want to perfect my power slides and built the track to encourage just that.
Part of it was to keep the kids under control and force them to drive the corners instead of scraping the cars along the outside rail.
There is only one section where you can not slide and that is the overpass after...

I like it, especially your use of borders. Very well done. Sometimes folks forget or don't realize how much borders add to the flow of racing.

This is only the beginning. I have blue, orange and purple, red and pink to get into the landscaping.

Bridges need stone walls (blues and purples) Trees need a planting, Retaining walls must be cast.. now for the details

The great thing about the blacklight element is that it is not really any extra work. It simply using the colors in place of the "normal" color. I found...

That is so totally cool! Good, good job my friend.

I like the concept of removable scenery very much. I've got a couple of areas that lift out so that I can crawl on the track to work on it, but things are going slow this spring.

Eventually, I'll get around to jpeg-ing & posting some of my raw photos of where I'm at (as soon as I figure that out, that is).

I gotta contact you sometime. I'll drop you a pm.

Here are the pictures showing my latest progess.

Keep in mind that all this (ground foam) glows in the dark and is phosphorescent under a black light I used glow in teh dark resin pigment. It is an ultrafine powder that I mixed in with the ground foam. The lichen brush also glows under blacklight and in the dark.I placed the lichen in a large plastic ziplok w/ the glow-in-the dark pigment. I then shook the bag to coat all the lichen.

After a few coats of Burnt Umber wash, I am ready to "plant" the grass.
I begin by laying down the earth using earth brown latex paint.

I then sprinkle on a light coat of WS turf blend. I make sure that I do not cover all the paint with foam as I progress through a piece. The paint should be wet to allow the groud foam to stick, but I also do not want the...

Hey Glenn,

It's looking really good with the rock work in. I like the way the sprayed colors look. I put it random splotches of diluted artist's acrylics, then sprayed it all over on top with clear water.

We're pretty close to the same stage, I think. Most of the dirt is in and I've just started planting grass and bushes.
And making some trees, etc.

Now, I just have to figure out how to get(or get around to getting photobucket & upload...

Now that the teraforming has begun in ernest, I wanted to share a few pictures of the progress. The finished section is made of extruded foam My hot wire skills are still , well let's say developing and the centerpeice was looking pretty choppy, so I decided to add a top coat of sculptamold. I threw in a few rock castings to break it up a little.
