Thought I would contribute this to the new forum as I know its a color that is hard to find in a spray can. These are two that I use. Both of these are Ford light blue. Duplicolor-DSFM120 PlastiKote- FM8090 Both colors come out the best using a white primer. The Duplicolor can be found at most Napa Auto stores or ordered from their website. Hope this helps those that have been or will be looking for it in the future. LeeTampa Florida, USALa Raza Del Sol Raceway

That's very kind of you to say so. If I can do it anybody can. I learned to paint just a couple of years ago to fulfil a lifetimes ambition. Now
it's an obsession. The good side is that it's reduced my blood pressure................... You get a car and get the paint, the idea the decal paper
the internet then you get really absorbed in the project and every othe problem just goes out of the window.
There don't seem to be many painters on this site but if I can...

Hi,
the orange is Holts Dupli - colour in the UK Dupli colour is made under licence. The blue is from Halfords which is a car accessory store. It's own brand
but they also have a system for producing every colour ever made, well almost, and that is a Dupilcolour system so I guess their own brand is also produced by
Dupli colour as well which is an American company.

Monkfish, those cars are sweet. For my Gulf colors I use for the blue Rust-Oleum Harbor Blue. For the Orange I use about 4 different ones,I use Rust Oleum
painters-Touch Real Orange, Model Masters Mango,International Orange and to match the Steve McQueen decals I got from Pattos I had a local paint shop mix me up
a color called Spectramaster Yellow. Its just a tad bit lighter than the decals but you can't really tell from a distance.

I painted these Porsche's with Ford Bermuda Blue and Ford Phoenix Orange. These are the traditional
perception of Gulf colours and are pretty close. I believe that Gulf also raced with silver and orange as
well as dark blue and orange vis a vis the McLaren F1 endurance racer. Scalextric produced a Ferrari
F40 with the dark blue livery some years ago.
