The Proxy is in process of being organized, and will be for pre-WWII American stock cars, as raced in the 1960's. Motors will be grouped in two classes: Low power, including old, low power open frame motors, and Pittman DC-70X power, with more power. I am thinking a weight minimum of about 115 grams would be good. Modern equivalents to those old motors will be found, so we can build cars without trying to find old motors. When I do some testing with cars and weights, that will be posted...

Hi guys,
Sorry to say I am not going to run this proxy race, due to time limitations. Anyone is welcome to pick it up and go with what we have. I may even enter a
car! But as far as race administration goes, I am too busy already with these proxy races: Race Across America, Vintage Race Across America, and the Slot.It
Shoot Out. Each one of those races happens every year, so I don't feel I can add another to the list. Which is too bad, because I love the old
modified-stock...

My cars tend to be more in the very late 60's to mid 70's era so I'm going to start from scratch for this one. This is a very cool era for modified and jalopy racing and I think this will be a lot of fun! If you want to get some good ideas for this type of car go to http://www.geocities.com/toml242001/.
