Hey all...My name is James and my son and I just bought our first set--Carrera--to have at the house. It came with 2 132 cars and we are interested in any clubs/groups in the Memphis, tn/DeSoto County MS area that'd be willing to take a newcommer. I've got tons of questions as well, but first does anyone know anywhere we can race with some people who've been at this for a while?

Hello people my name is Tony Diamond and I am very new to the slot car world.
I just bought the Artin 1:32 4 lane track a week ago and a 1/24 car and I am building and a couple 1/32 cars

They are a great mob here, its friendly and a ton of fun (all we need is Phil here to make it complete)....

P.S. The natives are very friendly, just say "We come in peace" a lot if they dont understand our strange turn of phrase....

Hey there,
just discovered this forum and found it very interesting. seen quite a few people from other slot related fora around here.
i have a scalextric track (2 combined sets) as a temporary setup mainly to testdrive my cars until i can afford (time and money wise) to build my own wooden track in the double garage.(have to chase the cats out too.....)
i'm living in australia (moved here from germany in 2002)

Hey Harry, It's Skip from Louisville. I am still slinging paint on some butt ugly slot cars. Wanted to let you know that the new owner of Bullitt Speedway is letting me set up some 1/32 scale races and they are going great. Two hour enduros run IROC style. Kurt and the Cincy boys are running with us along with some of the Nashville bunch. I hope that maybe you can come up and school us sometime. We try to set the races up for the last Sat. of each month. Hope to see you at the Derby City...

Glad to see that Im not the only Iowan here. Been reading Da Vols posts about the Forums Cup and Im thinking about trying it. Cant afford to race my 1:1 car so I thought Id give slot cars a try again. This time in 1/32 rather than HO.

Great site. I just signed up. I've been reading the forums. Your members and contributers have a lot of good information. I've been racing with the On The Hill Slot Club in Los Angeles-1/32, no magnets, variety of classes. We have nine tracks and rotate hosting responsibilities. Our site is www.farroutslotcars.com.

Hey all, just joined last night. Been playing with Tyco cars off and on for a couple decades and recently have gotten into other HO brands and 1/32 cars (mostly Carrera as of yet).

Hello everyone. I came over from the merge of Slot Car Resort / Slot Car Garage forum joining ranks with Home Racing World. I have been hooked on slot cars sence the mid 70's. Curently I race with the ERASR and IMAR 1/32 scale clubs here in Iowa, and all so race on a 1/24 scale comercail track. Looking forword to meeting new people to share this great hobby with.

I want to personally welcome all the newcomers to our hobby. Like some of you, I have received a lot of email asking advice on sets and cars among other things.

Looks like we will see plenty of new faces.

For those that are new here, you have found a great source of info. The people here are simply the best in the hobby. Ask any question, and I'll bet someone will have an answer for you very quickly.
