Very cool Chet!

I got to spend the day with my wife on the cycle... perfect weather.... and to support our military Vets... and reflect on our nation's history.
As an Air Force Vet, I'm very mindful of those that have served across the ages.
Our local chapters of the Southern Cruisers Riding Club, and the Military Vets cycle club got to lead the July...

Ran my Mini at a track day at Putnam Park on Saturday. What a blast, it was raining the whole time but I left my DOT slicks on anyway! Rain is the great equalizer and I was able to overtake a lot of cars without being overtaken myself that often. I am proud of myself in the fact that I was able to overtake two late model Corvettes and a Porsche 911. Who needs power? I also provided the race...

While out getting some nice rib-eyes for the Q, I stopped at the Hobby Lobby just to see if they had anything interesting. Walking the aisles I came upon copper tape in various widths...and now Rock Top Raceway is copper topped...

Stay cool, Larry. You're doing the right thing.

I'm for just about anything that has to do with riding and saying "Thanks" to vets.

I don't want to betray confidences, but the guy who works for me has a job and a place to live forever as far as I am concerned. That's that.

Friend of mine needs some help moving some stuff... on Friday... maybe get some track time with him on Friday night!
Saturday... joining up with my local chapter of the Southern Crusers Motorcycle Club and doing a local parade to show support of our local military Vets.

found a for sale dirt late model car and talked the guy into letting me run it at a local track. Will be my first race in over two years. and a 5 grand to win race non the less. I am hoping just to make the feature.

Ha! Beat the Boss to it, only because mine starts right now!

Leaving early this afternoon and won't be back unitl Sunday night. We're camping in Estes Park, Colorado. They have a great fireworks show over the lake, plus we'll be hiking and spending some time around town. The dogs have both been sitting by the door since the moment I parked the camper in the driveway. This weekend begins our camping season in earnest: we're camping 7 times in the next 2 months....
