I went to a Hobby Store I saw from the expressway near Detroit. It advertised Slot Cars on the outside of the building. No track but I saw a wall and one aisle
of HO, sets, cars and parts. Two other aisles were devoted to 32nd. and 24th. sets, cars and parts. They also had RC and trains, some of the o gauge buildings
would sure look good on a slot car track. When I asked the guy behind the counter if they had any 43rd stuff he said he had never heard of that scale.

I chose "all" for the same reasons others did. Online/eBay and Target are getting most of my money for hobby merchandise. Online purchases are for
mostly add on/converting purposes. I have purchased some cars that were good deals online. Hobby stores around me do not carry 1/43 products. Target is
feast or famine with mostly a couple sets and hit and miss on car blisters.

A local HobbyTownUSA carries a decent selection of slot cars in all scales.
Carrera 1/43, 1/32, and 1/24 (analog sets and cars in all scales, digi 1/32 so far)
Scalextric 1/32 sets and cars (analog and digi)
Johny Lightening cars (whatever the new name is) and some other cars and sets in HO
They've even had some Fly and Slot.It cars at times.

The problem is, the owner can't get specific cars. He orders them, and he gets whatever the distributor sends...

I went with all, I like to buy my paint and brass at a local shop because they sometimes have a Carrera Go! car or two in stock. Guess I'm not the only
impulse buyer for this stuff. I haven't bought any new sets except for a few 10.00 sets from Dollar General last year and maybe a dozen of the 5.00 sets
from Family Dollar a few years back. I've bought new cars at Target and online but only when discounted. ebay, resale shops and garage sales is where the

I am an impulse buyer, so if I can get it at a local store ie.. Target, DG, TRS, RS etc... more than likely they will get my jing.
