jd - I would be interested to see your response to 9car's question. I really like the colorplace paint - I think it's as good quality as the more
expensive spray cans like Krylon etc - but I have yet to try the clear because I would be worried it would damage the decals.

i use wal-mart .99cent paint on a lot of my cars.
i have good results out of the clear as well.
it is called color place, and it's in a blue can and cost .99 cents per tall can.
i think it must be wal-mart brand?
has no one else ever tried it?
if you gonna use wally world paint, why not use the clear also?

know because I sprayed it on a decal sheet once and it did.

Mark, like Jim, I have tried them all also. I like Testors glosscote 1261. It's probably the same as Jim's answer but in a generic can and can be
found at many craft stores. Duplicolor clear is alright to paint over lacquer paint but I would be hesitant to spray it on the Walmart paint and definately
don't use it on decals. Decals will curl up. I know because I ruined a car once trying it.

is safer to coat decals with Future before overcoating with the Dupli-Color. For extra shine I finish up with a couple of coats of Future.
