I HAD A NASCAR COT IDEA, a few days back and I've thought about this for days, Now I want to hear what you guys think :

a series Sanctioned by HRW 1/43 Forum, OK MIND YOU UP FRONT
I AM A FLAKE AND AS MUCH AS I WOULD LIKE TO HOST A PROXY RACE, I AM A RETARD AND I don't have the capacity or discipline to host a race! 4113 I can't even get a bus together in time for the one race I wanted to run in!...

After running a SCX Nascar last night, I'm not going to mod any more Artin Chassis ever again!!! Is there any Chance SCX would put together a Scratch Builders KIT?? you know something like you get:

1 Crown Gear
1 Pinion (optional)
2 or 4 tires and Hubs
1 Gear
1 Axel
1 motor (Optional second KIT)

I just Really HATE Cutting up a $20 car to build a $1.00 body but the SCX Parts / Cars...

Proxy Races.

In trying to sort things out and learn about the Proxy races a person has to dig all around. Might I make a suggestion? Sub forums! There could be a sub forum for each Proxy event with locked stickies at the top for rules and race results. Just a suggestion.

Well with the sratchbuild proxy rapidly approaching I figured I had better get to work on finishing my entries. Since my Midget is and Indy style cars are done except for paint. I this weekend I worked on the driver and rider for the sidehack. 2 days to get the figures right, hacking and re-gluing, hacking and re-gluing, till my fingertips where a solid coat of CA. Artin Cars

I've been enjoying my SCX Compact cars so much lately that I was actually contemplating getting rid of or converting my Artin cars.

Well, I got to running some Artin cars today. A well tuned Artin runs so smooth and quiet and accelerates so nicely out of the turns and fishtails nicely. I run them at 7.5 volts.

If I was to compare 1/43rd to HO, I would say the Carrera Go!!! and SCX Compact are like Tyco 440-X2 or Tomy Turbo and Artin is like a T-Jet.

I thought I would post a link to this routed track build on SlotForum; It's actually a continueation of a previous thread the same guy started for another track! I helped convince him to switch from 1/32 to 1/43 in order to solve some of his scale issues!! he is working on a masterpiece here & some of you might find it entertaining. Finding the power loss

Here are a couple of steps I took to find where the power loss was in my figure 8 earlier this year.
Use a Artin car or one that requires the most current from your stable.

1. Adjust power supply to half of the cars rated voltage or a little less (or have someone hold the trigger for you).

What's everyone up to today?

We took a road trip and purchased a genset. Got it home, all hooked up, and is ready for the first winter power outage.
I just hope this is good insurance against it!

Once that was done, hauled the burnable garbage to the burn pile. Now I've turned the heat up to 80 degrees, sitting

Well after I got back from Calf. Monday; I started on my version of a 1/43 Super Modified. I drew out a rough sketch of what I wanted and started from there. I used piano wire for the main frame and 1/16 th welding wire for the roll cage. The jack shaft supports were made from the rear section of two 130 series motor cans. the jack shaft itself was made from an old armarture with the stacks removed then shorten. The rear axle support was cut out of a peice of steel sheet bent into shape...

Gross Vinnie und Onkel Sal are locked in a Kampf over what color to paint the Mercedes. Gross Vinnie wants to paint the car German Racing Silver, while Onkel Sal favors a red, white, and blue scheme, reminiscent of the Penske Matadors.
Any suggestions regarding the hue(s)?

Der Jungen hope to have the BvN Mercedes at HPR by January.

Liberty, after seeing that delrin Nascar Ed did I've been playing with the Idea, But here's the Kick in the chest Seams like all my End mills are as dull as "the Piano" I've Already Loaded one up so Bad I snapped it :( How do you sharpen Endmills with out a Grinder and Fixture? I was looking at some Fixtures on MSC, but they all look like their too Big to use on a Unimat....
