How come there's no HO Drag Racing board on here? I can hook you guys up with several HO dratg sites, AND how to find the strips! And also, I can get the guys to provide pics too!

AW Super III Motor and Traction Magnets

Question for anyone out there that's bought the Super III: Are your motor and traction magnets matched up? In other words, is the polarity where the motor and traction magnets face each other attract or repel? I've bought a handful now and they all attract. Most of the Tyco X2s for example repel. We used to buy "reverse zapped" traction magnets to get the extra down force created by matching the fields of the motor magnets. Has anyone else seen "matched" traction...

Nuvolari Enduro race in Hull, Ma

I'm mainly a 1/32 scale racer, but Marc (amiatanut) invited me to a special enduro race that is held every year in Hull, MA. This was a 6 hour enduro race using teeny little HO cars. Man, are these things tiny compared to 1/32 cars. My first reaction when Marc invited me was little teeny magnet rockets, but Marc ensure me that this was a non-magnet race, so I accepted. The past couple days I was 2nd guessing myself on whether I really wanted to go, but now that I have, I'm glad I did....

On the Auto World website it says "Super III's chassis design features two powerful neodymium traction magnets that can be manually raised or lowered in the chassis to "tune" the car to operate on different tracks."

I haven't owned a slot car set since i was 11 years old, and I got a life like set a yard sale last weekend. I got the cars running again and everything, but I can't keep them on the track.. I would eventually like to build a display out of it, but I can't decide to go typical race track, or street race theme. my question is, how do I get better performance out of my cars or do i just need to buy new cars, are other HO cars such as AFX and Auto world compatible with life like? I received an HO scale die-cast school bus off the Bay. Seller claimed it was 1/43. I don't want to go through the hassle of sending it back; I could use it as an advertising sign outside my oval.
But if anyone wants it to use as a buck to vac form some buses for an HO live fig-8, drop me a PM.

Received my package in the mail today. These are based on the old X-2 pan chassis. they also have the "will eat the plastic off yout track" tires. So don't leave them set on anything plastic for too long! I'll let the picture tell the rest,
