Rustoleum Problem

I don't know if anyone has experienced this problem at all...I was helping my son to paint a model rocket...the first coat of Orange Rustoleum went on fine, but when we painted the next color over it (Meadow Green...I know, yuk! by it was my son's idea) the green alligatored in spots; about 1/3 of the coverage area. They're both the same type of enamel, so I didn't think that there would be a problem. Has anyone had this problem before?

Scalextric "Tupperware" and stripping agents

I got an old school Scalextrix Ferrari P4 that I am itching to convert to a 412 and would like to know if anyone has successfully been able to strip the tampos with anything like 91% alcohol or Castrol Super clean degreeser. I am aware that this type of "Tupperware" plastic is said to not hold conventional paint and will be trying the Krylon Fusion paint for plastics.

Help with decals

Ok I am having a problem with my decals. I have some avery water slide paper but when it prints they run and when I put testors clear coat on they pretty much vanish (yes I let them dry for over 24 hours). What paper do i use for these things or should I use stickers?

Enamel clear

Has anyone ever tried a enamel clear over waterslide decals? I usually use Future or Tamiya acrylic but wanted to get a deeper shine. Just curious if it will eat the decals or if it should be safe. Thanks

Gold/Yellow/Purple/Red Cameleon & Mirror Chrome Charger Daytona

This one is going to escape becoming a Stockcar The main body is Spaz Stix Gold/Yellow/Purple/Red Cameleon Paint and the Nose, Wing, Rear Bumper and Ducts on the fender are Mirror Chrome. It took me a few tries to figure it out for "External" application but it works really nice. It's made to go on the inside of clear lexan bodies. What has to be done is spray VERY LIGHTLY/DUSTING over gloss black..1 COAT! No Clear coat, not paint anyway, clear paint and too heavy of a coat...

Stirring Testors Paint

Hi some of you guys may already know this trick, but I just saw the light today. I've always stirred my Testors paint with a toothpick before using it. While trying to wipe the paint off the toothpick and get it back in the jar, I thought why cant this be as easy as spray paint. Thats when I realized I could add a few BBs or small fishing sinkers to each jar and shake it. Much less messier

Does old paint go bad?

I found an old rattle can of paint in my basement today that has to be at least 5-7 years old. Will it still be good, or not worth the risk?

Holographic Stocker

I wanted to see how this Spaz Stix Holographic paint would show on camera. I guess I'll have to wait till after I get the decals and clear coat on it and take pics out in the sun. This isn't just a 2 or 3 color change paint, pick a color, it's there, gold, green, blue, red, purple, silver, yellow, black, no $h!t, I've used camealeon paints for a while on the insides of RC trucks, this is on the outside and amazing!!!!

Hey there everyone. I've one of my Artin ex-Digi Porsches set aside for one of my Formula D drift car projects. In my impatience, I just peeled them off. Which left the car covered in nasty residue. I don't really need to strip...

my first paint job

After a lot of tape and even more frustration I have somehow managed to paint my first car. Started out as a Slot.it white kit and used Tamiya primer and paint, staying away from Model Master from now on...

Which car to use for the Toyota

Just seen in the thread below that Pattos has the CoT #20 decals. Would like to do this car - which CoT should I use, the Dodge or Chevy (or is there no difference between the two?)

I was working on a project the other day, it was cold and wet outside.

I was going for a gloss white paint job. I used "spray place" spray bombs from wall mart.

I love this paint! less than a buck a can and I have't run into the problems I did using krylon on styrene.

Anyway, I needed to get the white primer dry so I could shoot the gloss. I set my oven on "warm"
when it hit the temp I shut it off and set the model on a towel...

I got 4 Motor Homes in that Texas deal I made last year.

I'm repainting them into NASCAR Fan Vehicles. My 1st, #2 Miller Light(had leftover decals). I tried a new rattle can paint on this. Testors "One Coat" Lacquer
